Dumb Questions!
In the process of installing an engine into my Coupe, I find that I am
stopped "around every corner". Even armed with every shop manual
known to man and eBay, I still find a need to "ask the community" of
Honda 600 owners. So, please examine this collection of issues
that have come up as I install my "new engine". Please post any
comments at the Honda 600 yahoo group. If you have found this
page via a web search and do not belong to the yahoo group, you can
write me here.
As I learn your ideas and answers to these issues, I will post them on
this page.
THE BACK UP LIGHT CONTROLLER
I learned WHAT it is, the question remains: Where do I plug this thing
in? I guess I need to repair it first! The wiring diagram
shows it going to the vicinity of the firewall.....
VARIOUS CONNECTIONS
Below is a photo that shows connections I plan to make. I can
only find some of these on the wiring diagram; I am presuming the rest
are correct, given the like colors of the cables and the fact that each
connection is the "only place they could go". The red lines show
the pairs I plan to connect. Please take a look and comment.
This picture looks straight down. The bottom of the picture is
the front of the coupe. The battery can be seen on the left.

THE CLUTCH CABLE
I managed to get the clutch cable passed through under the fan
housing, now I am faced with re-connecting it to the cast aluminum
bracket on the engine and the clutch lever. Please see the photo
below and comment on it.
ANSWER: (I WILL GIVE THIS A TRY....)
On the clutch lever there is a bolt in the center back it all the way
out. Then hook the end of your cable in the slot in the clutch lever.
Next pull back the rubber boot, and pull the whole cabe back. Put the
cable in the slot then drop the sheath down and push it into the case,
and readjust clutch lever bolt.
